Overcoming Negative Mindset

Negative mindset comes automatically. The more you allow it the longer it remains and manifests in your body. Negative mindset affects body soul and spirit. 
Negative mindset involves unhelpful thought patterns that can impact mental and physical well being.

Negative mindset can make you unfriendly, and can  destroy families, friendships and relationships. 

Negative mindset focuses  so much on failures and problems rather than successes.

Negative mindsets can influence  a persons behaviour in different situations.  They are rooted in beliefs that people  have about themselves. 

Negative mindset can be recognized and challenged by replacing them with positive thoughts.

Bible speaks about changing mindset in Romans 12:2
Do not confirm yourselves to the standards of this world,but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind.  

You can overcome negative mindset by replacing them with positive words and affirmations from the scriptures.

Some of the Biblical approaches in overcoming negative mindsets are:

Meditation can improve your physical and mental health. Meditation is a practice of focusing the mind on certain positive things that can reduce stress and  manage negative emotions. Meditation helps you to be fully aware of the present. 
Meditation can improve your mood and physical appearance.  

Psalms 1:2
Instead they find joy in obeying the law of the Lord and they study it day and night.

Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace  whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.  

Mediating on Gods word can improve your negative mindset to a positive mindset.  

Prayer brings a sense of peace and calmness in mind and body.
Through prayer, all negative emotions are released and Faith and trust in God is strengthened. 
Prayer aligns thought life with a positive perspective of life. 
Prayer changes the negative mindset to a positive mindset in a way you see people and things. And allows you to believe in God and believe in a positive outlook in life.

1 Peter 5:7
Leave all your worries with him because he care for you.

Worry is a state of mind. A negative mindset is built on worry. When worry lingers in the mind for a period of time,  the mindset changes. 
Worry is a negative thought. 
When you realise that and shift your mindset from worrying to a positive thought, you overcome the negative mindset.
Monitor your thought life and pattern daily and re-route any negative thoughts by turning to Gods word.

Forgive anything that bothers you like hatred, bitterness,unforgiveness and resentment and give it to God. 
Forgiveness improves mental health. It opens doors for more empathy and compassion.
Forgiveness promotes healthy relationships which is good for your emotional well being. 

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  

Carnal mindset is a negative mindset. Focusing too much on earthly and physical desires and behaviors that attracts problems and  failures can hinder personal growth.

Focus on positive and important things can benefit both your physical and mental well-being. 
Focus on things that are positive which can improve your mental health, strengthen relationships, improve your mood and better your health.

Practice positive self talk and affirmations. 
Daily,  read a scripture and verbally speak it and mediate on it. Your whole mindset will change for the better. Your physical appearance will change.
You will attract the right kind of people in your life.  
Think about the things that are honorable, pure, praise worthy and see you life change.
